Tesla Model Y In India: Tesla began its official journey in India on June 15, 2025, with the opening of its first-ever showroom in BKC, Mumbai. The brand is currently working on expanding its presence in the country. The Tesla Model Y was also launched in the country with the opening of its first showroom. The brand currently has a total of 2 showrooms in the country, and it is set to open a new showroom soon in Gurugram, Haryana. While the first Tesla was delivered to the Maharashtra road transport minister, the first India Inc. Tesla was delivered to the Inox group’s director, Siddharth Jain. Today marked the day of the first Tesla Customer deliveries.

The Tesla Model Y is available in a total of two variants: a standard Rear Wheel Drive variant with a 63 kWh battery and a long-range Rear Wheel Drive variant with an 83 kWh battery. While the standard variant is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the long-range variant is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

The Model Y comes equipped with a 15.4-inch touchscreen inside the cabin, which controls most functions in the car. It also gets a panoramic glass sunroof and an electrical liftgate. The Model Y boasts some of the most advanced ADAS features, which include a blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, and more.

The standard variant of the Model Y comes equipped with a 63 kWh battery, and it has a claimed range of up to 500 kilometers, as per the WLTP cycle. Whereas the long-range model of the SUV comes equipped with an 83 kWh battery and is claimed to deliver up to 622 kilometers in a full charge.
