Kia Carens Clavis Vs Mahindra XUV700: Pricing for the Kia Carens Clavis has been officially revealed by the South Korean carmaker today in India. While the base, HTE Petrol, variant of the premium MPV is priced at Rs 11.49 Lakhs, prices for the top-spec HTX+ Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi Variant are Rs 21.49 lakhs. One of the most popular rivals of the Carens Clavis is the Mahindra XUV700, and while these cars belong to different segments and do not clash directly, they can be compared based on several factors, including price and seating capacity. Both of these cars are available with a 6 or 7-seater configuration, and when it comes to price, the premium MPV by Kia costs Rs 3 lakh less than the SUV by Mahindra.
Kia Carens Clavis Vs Mahindra XUV700: Price Compared
The base variant of the Mahindra XUV700 is priced at Rs 14.49 lakh, and it is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-GDi engine integrated with a 6-speed manual transmission, which generates 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The base variant of the Kia Carens Clavis, HTE, draws its power from a Smartstream G1.5 NA (Naturally Aspirated) petrol engine, which generates 113 bhp and 143 Nm of torque. The top-of-the-line AX7 trim of the XUV700 is priced at Rs 25.44 lakhs, and it gets the same engine. The top-spec HTX+ Variant of the Kia Carens Clavis, on the other hand, is available with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates 159 bhp and 253Nm of torque, and it costs Rs 3.95 lakhs less than the SUV’s top model.

Kia Carens Clavis Vs Mahindra XUV700: Features On Offer
The newly launched Kia Carens Clavis offers a premium cabin, and it includes features such as electric tumbling seats in the second row, boss mode, a 12.3-inch display for the infotainment system, an instrument cluster, 64 colour ambient lighting, and dual panoramic sunroof. It also comes equipped with a Level-2 ADAS suite with features like lane keep assist and blind spot collision warning, and smart cruise control.
The Mahindra XVU700 is ‘neck-to-neck’ with the newly launched Kia Carens Clavis in terms of features, as it offers all the features the premium MPV by Kia is offering. It is worth noting that the powertrain options on the SUV by Mahindra are more powerful when compared to the Kia Carens Clavis. This can explain its extra cost, but if we compare the Kia Carens Clavis to the Mahindra XUV700 in terms of features, both cars offer almost the same things, except for a few.
