Kia Carens Clavis Launched At Rs 11.49 Lakhs; Check Features, Engine And Design

Kia Carens Clavis Price:  Kia has revealed pricing for its 7-seater premium MPV, the Carens Clavis, in India today. The car is priced between Rs 11.49 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 17.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). The Clavis will be offered as a premium iteration of the Carens, costing Rs 9000 more than the latter. Here we are sharing information regarding the features, engine, design, and variants of the newly launched Kia Carens Clavis.

Kia Carens Clavis: Features

The Kia Carens Clavis is equipped with features such as a bigger 12.3-inch display for the infotainment and driver's display. It also features a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, a dual-zone climate control system, and an electrically adjustable driver seat. The premium 3-row SUV also features a level-2 ADAS system, 6 airbags, and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) for enhanced safety. The Carens Clavis also features a restyled cabin with new upholstery to increase comfort inside the cabin.

Kia Carens Clavis: Engine

The Clavis features some major changes to enhance premium appeal, however, it retains the same powertrain offered with the regular Carens. Kia Carens Clavis is available with 3 powertrain options, combined with either a 6-speed manual, Clutchless Manual, torque Converter automatic, or a 7-speed transmission. The Carens Clavis can be bought with a 1.5-litre NA (Naturally Aspirated) engine that generates 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, a
Smartstream G1.5-litre T-GDi engine that generates 157bhp and 253Nm of torque, or a 1.5-litre Turbo Diesel Engine that churns out 113bhp and 200Nm of torque.

Kia Carens Clavis: Design

The Carens Clavis features Kia’s signature tiger nose grille and L-shaped DRLs, which function as a turn indicator as well. The headlamp on the 7-seater MPV from Kia comes equipped with a triple-ice cube reflector setup. The Bumper at the front looks muscular, and the thick body cladding with wheel arches provides it a more sporty appearance. It also gets a connecting taillight setup at the rear, which is identical to its other siblings, such as Kia Seltos, Kia Sonet, and Kia Carens.
