Kia EV2 Debut Date: Kia's smallest EV to date, the EV2 electric crossover, is set to break cover on January 9 at next year's Brussels Motor Show in Belgium. The first teaser images of the Kia EV2 are out, suggesting the upcoming model takes design cues from the concept car showcased earlier this year. Designed and developed in Europe, the EV2 follows the brand's 'Opposites United' design philosophy, having an upright stance and a sweeping window line. The front fascia features vertically stacked claw-like LED headlamps, while the rear end gets low-mounted LED taillamps similar to those of the Syros, in addition to a roof spoiler and an angled rear glass. Expect bits such as suicide doors, thick cladding on bumpers, and alloy wheels with square spokes.

Kia EV2: Interior, Features
The interior design of the Kia EV2 remains under wraps, but expect it to feature an integrated arrangement for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with sliding seats, a panoramic sunroof, V2L (vehicle-to-load), connected car technology, and support for OTA updates. Kia also promises enough space for the EV2 occupants.
Kia EV2: Battery, Range
Technical details are also under wraps. Market reports suggest that the upcoming EV2 could share mechanical components with the Hyundai Inster EV, which utilises the 400V E-GMP platform. For reference, the global-spec Inster EV is offered in 42kWh and 49kWh battery configurations, rated for 300km and 355km, respectively. Both are WLTP figures.
Kia EV2: Market Positioning
Positioned as a B-segment electric SUV, the EV2 will be the brand's entry-level model for the international market. It will be unveiled along with the GT-spec EV3, as well as the EV4 and EV5.
