SUVs are known to have a strong presence on the road compared to sedans or hatchbacks and are often seen as more reliable and powerful. In India, a significant number of vehicles sold are SUVs, and their popularity continues to rise. Here’s a look at some of the SUVs that are scheduled to be launched in India in 2024.

MG Gloster Facelift
The MG Gloster SUV is currently positioned as the flagship model in MG India’s vehicle lineup. However, there are reports suggesting that a facelift version may be introduced in India with various updates. Test mules of the vehicle have already been spotted, indicating a potential launch in the Indian market soon.
Skoda Kodiaq
The new Skoda Kodiaq was unveiled for the global market last year and it is now expected that it will be launched in India this year. The Skoda Kodiaq facelift has been launched with various modifications in its exterior design and within its interior as well. Talking about the powertrain, it is likely that it will continue to retain the existing configuration only.
Kia EV9
In the upcoming months, Kia is expected to launch the fourth generation Kia Carnival in the Indian market. Additionally, there are speculations that the South Korean automobile manufacturer is also gearing up to launch the Kia EV9. Not a lot of information is known about this upcoming EV model but it is anticipated that this electric SUV might make its debut by the end of 2024.

Hybrid Toyota Fortuner
Toyota is reportedly developing a mild hybrid version of the Toyota Fortuner. According to sources, the vehicle is expected to be introduced in the Indian market, promising improved fuel efficiency. The mild hybrid variant is anticipated to feature a 2.8-litre engine. There has been no confirmation on the launch timeline of this mild-hybrid variant of the Fortuner.
