These new variants, named HTE (O) and HTK (O), will offer both petrol and diesel engine options. A notable feature of these additions is the inclusion of an electrically adjustable sunroof, typically reserved for higher trim levels. This signifies a significant departure as customers can now enjoy the sunroof experience in the base variants of the Sonet. The HTK (O) trim will also include additional features like LED-connected tail lamps, automatic climate control, and a rear defogger. Currently, Kia offers the HTE and HTK as entry-level trims that are priced at Rs 7.99 lakhs and Rs 8.79 lakhs (ex-showroom), respectively. With the addition of a sunroof and other enhancements, the pricing is expected to be increased slightly.
The current Kia Sonet lineup offers seven variants providing a diverse array of options to cater to various preferences and budgets. Talking about engine specs, it is available with either a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine while being paired with manual, automatic, iMT and DCT gearboxes.
