Kia is gearing up to reveal the facelift of its compact SUV Sonet for all global markets in the upcoming month of December 2023. Kia India launched the Sonet compact SUV for Indian markets in September 2020 and the compact SUV has not undergone any facelift since its inception. The upcoming Kia Sonet has been spotted testing multiple times revealing essential details about the facelift. It is likely that the South Korean manufacturer will launch the Sonet facelift in the early months of 2024.

Kia Sonet Facelift - Design 

The upcoming Kia Sonet facelift will feature new design elements on its exterior such as a new front bumper, new headlamps, redesigned DRLs and fog lamps. The body structure of the Kia Sonet facelift is expected to stay the same while getting new additions such as chrome finishing and cladding on the exterior. At the rear of the Sonet facelift, it is expected to get a new dual-tone rear bumper and new vertical LED tail lights that are connected to each other by an LED light bar. The Sonet facelift will also feature new alloy wheels and new wheel caps. 

Kia Sonet Facelift - Interior 

Talking about the interior of the Sonet facelift, it will get a new dashboard design that will include new switch gears, new touchscreen displays that have been used in the Kia Seltos facelift, new digital instrument cluster that is used in the Venue and Carens and it will also feature new upholstery themes within its interiors.

Kia Sonet Facelift - Powertrain 

The upcoming Kia Sonet facelift will most likely continue to use the existing powertrain options that include a 1.2-litre petrol engine, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. All these three engines churn a power output of 83 bhp, 120 bhp and 116 bhp while producing 115 Nm, 172 Nm and 250 Nm of torque respectively. 

Kia Sonet Facelift - Safety 

In terms of safety, the Kia Sonet facelift will be equipped with six airbags as standard across all variants. It is likely that the Sonet facelift might also come equipped with ADAS functionalities on its top-spec variants.
