The Kia Sonet HTK+ 1.2-litre petrol variant is now available with an electric sunroof in India. This is Sonet’s most affordable variant with a price tag of Rs 9.76 lakhs. The HTX and HTX+ models were the only variants featuring a sunroof in the past. Additionally, Kia India also stated that since Sonet's debut, it has sold over 3.3 lakh units of Sonet in India.

Kia Sonet HTK+ - Features 

The HTK+ version also includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with four speakers and two tweeters in addition to an electric sunroof. This model also includes features like automatic climate control, a rear camera, four airbags, and auto headlights, as well as, connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Kia Sonet HTK+ - Engine 

This Sonet model is driven by a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine that is set to produce 82 bhp/115 Nm of torque. The only gearbox available for this engine is a five-speed manual. Two other higher level models are also available for the Sonet that offer a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a choice of 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic gearboxes, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 120 bhp output combined with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Kia Sonet HTK+ - Competitors 

Kia’s attempt to include this feature could possibly be because of the increasing competition in the sub compact SUV segment. Tata, Mahindra and Hyundai have all announced that their compact SUVs like the Nexon, XUV300 and Venue respectively are all due for facelifts soon. Kia Sonet is also anticipated to get a facelift by next year.
