Kia Syros EV Launch Date: Kia launched its ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Syros in February 2025, and it is now readying the electric derivative of the Syros for launch in India. While the price announcement is not expected anytime soon, we have spy images revealing crucial design elements.

Kia Syros EV: Exterior Design

Spotted at a DC fast charging station in Kochi, the test mule of the Syros EV closely resembles the ICE version at first glance. It has the familiar boxy proportions and upright stance. Even dual-tone alloy wheels appear to be the same.

A closer look reveals vertically oriented LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, outside rearview mirrors-mounted turn indicators, and roof rails. Besides, the taillamp design seems to be carried over from the ICE model. As is the case with electric vehicles, the upcoming Syros EV will get a closed-off grille, a charging port, and EV-specific badging.

Kia Syros EV: Interior

Spy images do not offer interior details, but expect the EV to get the same cabin layout as its ICE counterpart, along with 12.3-inch displays, wireless connectivity, reclining second-row seats, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and Level 2 ADAS.

Kia Syros EV: Battery Specs

Technical specifications are also under wraps; however, the powertrain setup is anticipated to be a combination of a front axle-mounted electric motor and either a 42kWh or a 51.4kWh battery. This setup looks quite similar to the Carens Clavis EV.

The Syros EV is expected to be Kia's most affordable electric product. With the Tata Nexon EV currently dominating the mid-size EV segment, the new Kia Syros EV could turn out to be a disruptor.
