Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automobile manufacturer in the country has reported that it has witnessed the company’s best-ever SUV sales figure in October 2023. The automaker has announced that it has sold a total of 43,708 SUV units in the month of October. Additionally, Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 80,679 vehicles in the month of October which also included exports.

In the SUV segment, Mahindra & Mahindra registered the highest sales figure for the fourth consecutive month. The automaker sold 43,708 SUV units in the month of October which indicates a growth of 36 per cent in comparison to the 32,226 units sold in the same month of 2022.

Mahindra hasn’t revealed which SUV model from its vehicle line-up performed the best in the Indian market. The automobile giant currently sells a range of SUVs in India that includes models like the Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar, XUV300, Scorpio Classic, Bolero Neo, Bolero, Marazzo and the electric SUV, XUV400. 

Additionally, Mahindra also stated that between the April to October time period of FY2023, the company has sold a total of 258,612 SUV units representing a 30 per cent growth when compared to the 199,278 units sold in the same time period of the previous year.

Veejay Nakra, the President of the Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra spoke about the automaker’s sales performance in October. He mentioned that the company achieved its highest-ever sales figure during the last month. Moreover, Nakra pointed out that the SUV segment had the highest-ever sales figure for the fourth consecutive month. He was optimistic that the automaker will continue to carry forward this trend into the month of November owing to the ongoing festive season. However, Nakra said that the company is still dealing with supply chain-related challenges, “While the strong festive demand should see us continue our growth momentum in November, we will keep a close watch on select supply-related challenges.”
