Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automobile manufacturer in India has launched a new electric model today, the XUV400 Pro. Apart from this, as we have reported earlier, Mahindra is working on a 5-door variant of their popular off-roader SUV, Thar for the Indian market. As per media reports, it has been revealed by some industry sources that the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door will be launched in India in February.

Recently, Mahindra also patented seven new names for the Thar five-door variants. The list of patented names include the Thar Armada, Thar Cult, Thar Rex, Thar Savannah, Thar Roxx, Thar Gladius and Thar Centurion. There is a possibility that these will be the variants of the upcoming 5-door Thar.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Exterior Design
Additionally, the 5-door variant of the Thar has also been spotted testing multiple times, providing key insights about the upcoming Thar. The test prototypes have revealed details like a redesigned front grille with a horizontal separator in the lower section, LED fog lamps, LED headlights, and DRLs. Speculations suggest that the 5-door Thar will exclusively offer a hard top and it is also likely that it will feature a single-pane sunroof, a feature absent in the current Thar model. Furthermore, it is also expected that it will feature new alloy wheels, updated LED tail lights and a range of new color options.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Interior Features
Within its interior, it is expected that the Thar will feature notable enhancements such as the inclusion of a dashcam, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen display, a rear parking camera, a redesigned steering wheel, adjustable seat belt height, a revamped front armrest, cup holders positioned behind the gear lever and a USB-C charging port.
