Mahindra Thar 5-Door Viral Video: Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the country, is working on an upcoming 5-door variant of the Thar. Mahindra Thar is a popular muscular SUV in the country and is known for its off-road capabilities. The upcoming Thar 5-door is also expected to boast impressive off-road strength.

However, a recent viral video on Instagram has raised doubts about this reputation. A video on Instagram has gone viral featuring a camouflaged Thar 5-door struggling to get out of a muddy side road. The video shows camouflaged Thar 5-door sending power to the rear wheels only, suggesting it is an RWD (rear-wheel drive) model. In the video, it can be seen that people are trying to push the Thar 5-Door out of the muddy road but face difficulty in doing so.

Previously, the Mahindra Thar 5-door has been spotted testing several times revealing key details about the upcoming off-road SUV. Recently, a camouflaged Mahindra 5-door Thar was spotted testing in Landour as it was undergoing high-altitude testing. These tests are essential to ensure that the vehicle operates seamlessly in all conditions, anticipating any potential issues before its launch. 

Mahindra Thar 5-door is being developed, to cater a larger audience in the country. People who are looking for family-oriented SUVs, Mahindra Thar 5-door will be a viable alternative while also boasting off-road capabilities. The new 5-door Thar will feature significant modifications in its design and interior features. Additionally, it will exclusively be available in a hard top variant.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Price 

After its launch, the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door will find itself to be positioned between the current-generation Thar and Mahindra XUV700 SUV. This positioning suggests that the new 5-door Thar's price will likely start above Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), extending up to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about its launch, the Mahindra Thar 5-Door is anticipated to be launched sometime in 2024 in India.
