Mahindra Thar Facelift 2026:  The Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift 2026 was spied testing recently. The Thar was introduced in India in 2010, and it has remained a popular SUV ever since. Notably, the Mahindra Thar 3-door received a facelift update in September 2025. However, a prototype of the Mahindra Thar 3-Door with Thar ROXX-like styling was spotted recently with camouflaged front and rear ends. Let’s take a look at the expected changes of the Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift in terms of design, features, and engine.

Mahindra Thar Facelift 2026: Expected Design

The upcoming Mahindra Thar facelift 2026 retains the overall silhouette of the current model on sale. The only visible changes are expected to come in the form of a new front fascia and a new rear-end, as only these parts were covered during the testing. The Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift is expected to feature a new rectangular slat-based grille at the front, along with the new LED projector-based headlamps. The upcoming Thar 3-door facelift is also expected to feature the round LED DRLs, similar to the ones we have seen on the Mahindra Thar ROXX. It is also expected to feature a new rear-end.

Mahindra Thar Facelift 2026: Expected Features

The upcoming Mahindra Thar facelift 2026 is also expected to receive major changes in terms of features. The brand equipped the 3-door Thar with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, speakers on the roof, rear AC vents, a wireless charging pad, and a Type-C charging port. The upcoming Mahindra Thar facelift 2026 is expected to retain most of these, while adding some new features, including a new theme for interiors, a larger touchscreen for the infotainment system, a Level-2 ADAS suite, and more.

Mahindra Thar Facelift 2026: Expected Engine

While the Mahindra Thar facelift 2026 is set to receive major changes in terms of design and features, it will likely continue with the same engine options offered with the current model on sale. The current model of the Mahindra Thar 3-door comes equipped with multiple powertrain options, including a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The Thar 3-Door is also available with a 4x4 as well as a Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) configuration.
