Mahindra XEV 9S Electric SUV: Mahindra is set to unveil its new 7-seater electric SUV, dubbed the XEV 9S, on November 27 at an event in Bengaluru. In the build-up to that, the brand has been dropping teasers, drip-feeding us with information around the upcoming born-electric SUV. And this time around, Mahindra's latest teaser previews the evolution of the brand's bold vision for electric mobility in India.
Mahindra XEV 9S: New Teaser Details
With the XEV 9e and the BE 6, Mahindra has redefined how India's performance electric vehicles can be. But the debut of the XEV 9S will mark a significant step up, evolving from a 5-seat version to a car featuring 'Space for seven, Space for everything'. The teaser also reveals a dark interior theme, premium seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Exterior design elements, such as vertically stacked headlamps, Y-shaped DRLs, a connecting LED light bar, and a Butterfly emblem, are also visible. Other confirmed bits include a shark-fin antenna, body-coloured ORVMs, flush door handles, black roof rails, rear wiper blades, and connected taillamps (likely to be smoked ones).

Mahindra XEV 9S: Interior, Features
On the inside, the XEV 9S will offer a triple-screen setup, a two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit logo, a powered driver's seat (with a memory function), a sliding second row, plush materials, a panoramic sunroof, an electronic parking brake, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system, as confirmed by the teasers so far. The third row has yet to be revealed.

Expected bits include dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, Dolby Atmos, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Battery, Range
The INGLO platform-based XEV 9S is expected to pack the same battery options as the other two electric SUVs: 59kWh and 79kWh, rated at 656km and 542km, respectively. Both are MIDC figures. An all-wheel-drive powertrain setup is likely to be added at a later stage. Mahindra could target a price range of Rs 20 lakh-Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
