Mahindra & Mahindra is a leading automobile manufacturer in the country with over eight SUV models currently available in the country. However, Mahindra retails only one electric model in India, the XUV400 SUV. Previously, Mahindra has revealed its plans to launch multiple EV models such as the Mahindra Thar EV and now the EV model of the Mahindra XUV700 has been spotted testing in India. After its launch, the XUV700 EV will be the first 7-seater EV model from Mahindra.

Mahindra XUV700 EV - Exterior 

The spotted XUV700 EV is heavily camouflaged and only specific details about the upcoming EV model are visible. The spy pictures of the XUV700 EV reveal design elements like LED light bar, connected LED DRLs, vertically positioned headlights. The spotted XUV700 EV looks quite similar to the concept shown by Mahindra. 

Mahindra XUV700 EV - Interior 

The spy photos of the XUV700 EV also reveal significant details about the interior of the new Mahindra EV as it gets a new centre console, sporty looking gear lever,  a unique two spoke steering wheel, a large touchscreen display and circular dial that might be used as a drive mode selector. The XUV700 EV concept also showcased other notable features such as heads-up-display, advanced navigation system, three 12.3-inch digital touchscreens and ADAS technology.

Mahindra XUV700 EV - Powertrain 

The XUV700 EVis expected to be built on Mahindra's INGLO platform which has been dedicatedly designed from scratch for all upcoming Mahindra EVs. Mahindra has revealed three powertrain options for the XUV700 EV that includes a FWD powertrain with an 80kW motor and two RWD powertrains - one with a 210kW motor and the other with a 180kW motor. However, there is no confirmation on whether Mahindra will be sticking to the powertrain options.
