Mahindra is making its XUV700 lineup more accessible by introducing a seven-seat version in the entry-level MX variant. This variant is priced at Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) and is powered by a diesel engine. The Mahindra XUV700 MX 7-seater provides a more budget-friendly option compared to its AX3 7-seater counterpart which is Rs 3 lakh more expensive.

Mahindra XUV700 New 7 Seater Variant - Features
This new three-row variant keeps the same mechanical and feature specifications as the XUV700 MX 5-seater model. I is priced Rs 40,000 higher than the XUV700 MX 5-seater with the 2.2-litre diesel engine, the MX 7-seater maintains similar technological features. It includes an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto, four speakers, a 7-inch MID, analogue dials, multiple USB ports, tilt-adjustable steering, a centre armrest with storage, adjustable headrests for all passengers, follow-me-home headlamps, powered ORVMs, and ISOFIX anchors.The new variant adds third-row AC vents, a second-row centre armrest and a 60:40 one-touch tumble function, like other seven-seat trims.

Talking about its exterior appearance, it comes in the same five colour options as the MX variant - Everest white, Midnight black, Dazzling red, Red rage, and Napoli Black.
Mahindra XUV700 New 7 Seater Variant - Engine
In terms of engine specs, the Mahindra XUV700 MX 7-seater is the same as its 5-seater counterpart. It is powered by a lower-powered 2.2-litre diesel engine that is capable of producing a power output of 156 bhp with a 6-speed manual gearbox. There's a possibility of the 7-seater also offering the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine option available in the 5-seater trim.
This move by Mahindra aims to enhance affordability of premium offerings in the SUV market. It makes the XUV700 a compelling choice for buyers seeking a large three-row SUV, especially with competitive pricing compared to rivals like the Tata Safari and the seven-seat diesel version of the MG Hector Plus.
