Maruti Suzuki E Vitara:  Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) commenced export of its first-ever Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the E Vitara, to Europe recently. Over 2,900 units of E Vitara were shipped from Pipavav Port in Gujarat to 12 European countries - the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, Austria, and Belgium. The ‘Made in India’ E Vitara will be exported to over 100 countries and will be sold in the domestic market.

PM Modi Flagged Off E Vitara Production

The milestone of E Vitara export comes backdrop of the event held at the Company’s manufacturing facility in Hansalpur, Gujarat, on August 26, where the E Vitara by Maruti Suzuki was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The battery manufacturing plant of Maruti Suzuki was also inaugurated on the same day by PM Modi, in the presence of CM Bhupinder Patel and Ambassador of Japan Keiichi Ono.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Range

The Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara has already been launched in Europe in June 2025. The car is available with 2 Battery pack options- a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh and both of these batteries are based on BYD’s LFP chemistry. The e-Vitara offered in Britain is available with a 2WD and a 4WD configuration, and the model with the larger battery pack is expected to deliver a claimed range of 500 kilometres in a single charge. The AWD variant of the car also comes equipped with driving modes, including Eco, Normal, Sports, and Snow.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Features & Expected Price

The E Vitara by Maruti Suzuki features a Panoramic sunroof, fully automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and more. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki E Vitara is also expected to come equipped with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, and a Level 2 ADAS suite for enhanced passenger safety. Suzuki has already launched the E Vitara in the United Kingdom with a price tag of Euro 22,900 (Around Rs 24.9 lakhs). We expect the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara to be priced between Rs 18.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
