Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Range Test:  The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara is all set to be launched in India in January 2026. The E Vitara is the first-ever electric car from the largest car manufacturer in the country, and it was showcased for the first time at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The brand recently unveiled its first-ever electric car. The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has a claimed range of 543 kilometres, once fully charged. But can it really cover 543 kilometres in a full charge? The Jagran Hitech team recently tested the range of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki E Vitara, and here’s our video of the same.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Battery & Range

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara comes equipped with options of either a 49 kWh or a 61 kWh battery pack. The E Vitara by Maruti Suzuki also gets a Front-Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive configurations (Maruti Suzuki’s All Grip); however, the All Grip will be offered only with the 61 kWh battery pack. The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has an Arai-claimed range of up to 543 kilometres, once fully charged. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara, with its front-wheel drive version, can generate 142 bhp and 189 Nm, respectively. The all-wheel drive variant, on the other hand, generates 172 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Design

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara features a very premium and modern design language. At the front, the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara features a Y-shaped signature DRL with LED headlamps placed inside, a sleek black applique between the headlamps with the Suzuki logo placed on it, and a sleek air vent below it. Air intakes are placed lower on the front bumper, and the fog lamps are placed just above the lower lip of the bumper. On the sides, the E Vitara gets a thick body cladding which runs around the whole body of the car, and while the front gets a traditional pull-type door handle, the rear door handle is integrated into the C-pillar of the electric SUV. On the rear, it gets an LED taillight with three slats, a black applique, a subtle spoiler with integrated roof spoiler, a rear wiper, and thick rear bumpers with integrated reflectors.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Features

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara comes with several advanced features, such as powered and ventilated seats at the front, a fully automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and more. In terms of safety, the first-ever electric Maruti car comes loaded with features such as 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, hill hold assist, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Safety

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has secured a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP). Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever electric car comes with several advanced safety features, including a Level 2 ADAS Suite. In terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has scored a total of 31.49 points out of a maximum of 32 points. In terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP), the E Vitara secured 43 points out of a total of 49 points. The list of safety equipment on the E Vitara includes features such as 7 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and more.
