Luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has revealed the new-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Wheelbase (LWB) for the Indian market. This E-Class Long Wheelbase is the sixth-generation model of the car and it was already launched for the international markets earlier this year. The sixth-gen E-Class Long Wheelbase will be sold in specific countries including India as India was the first country to receive the right-hand drive iteration of the E-Class Long Wheelbase. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the India-spec E-Class Long Wheelbase will make its way to India in the second half of 2024.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB - Measurements
Talking about the measurement of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB, it is 5,092 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,493 mm tall. The wheelbase of the E-Class LWB measures 3,094 mm.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB - Design
In terms of design, the E-Class LWB resembles the standard E-Class. The significant distinguishing feature between the two models is the elongated rear door with the rear quarter glass being placed behind the rear door in opposition to being integrated into the rear door and window. The longer wheelbase will result in more cabin space in the E-Class LWB, however, there will be no changes in the features and looks of the interior of the car.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB - Features
The E-Class LWB will also include features such as ambient lighting for the rear seats with rear seat headrest and a neck heating feature and a ‘Boss’ button which will allow the rear seat to slide and the front seat to fold to create even more space within the cabin. The China-spec E-Class LWB gets a three-screen setup that includes a digital cluster, an infotainment screen and another screen for entertainment purposes of the passengers of the cars. However, it has not been confirmed if this will be included in the India-spec model of the E-Class LWB.
