MG Hector Infotainment System: JSW MG Motor India is preparing to amp up its game in the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) segment with the launch of the facelifted Hector SUV. The MG Hector, which marked MG's official India entry in 2019, is poised for a significant overhaul, potentially bringing refreshed styling cues and meaningful technology enhancements to optimise the overall user experience.
New MG Hector: Could Get Advanced, Interactive Infotainment
MG hasn't officially revealed the specifics, but the upcoming tech upgrades for the Hector are likely to include an elevated, interactive infotainment system, continuing the brand's focus on making connected mobility more seamless and effortless. Per a media report, the new infotainment system might feature up to 10GB RAM, promising a noticeably more seamless experience. Moreover, the vehicle is likely to benefit from multi-touch gesture controls, such as two-finger AC controls, swipe up/down for volume adjustment, and three-finger music controls.

Other expected bits include ventilated rear seats, a powered driver's seat, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS. The powertrain options are expected to be carried over from the pre-facelift model.
New MG Hector: Engine
Under the hood, the new Hector is likely to continue with a 141bhp, 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 168bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine, both mated to their respective gearboxes. The latter is the same engine as found in the Tata Harrier.
