Skoda has finally launched the much anticipated new-gen Superb for international markets. The new-gen Superb has received significant updates in the exterior design and interior features of the car. Skoda has updated both the iterations of the Superb - the sedan and the station wagon. However, the station wagon variant of the Superb will not be making its way to India. The new-gen Skoda Superb will be available in select markets by 2024 and it is expected that Skoda will bring the Superb to India as well in 2024.

New-Gen Skoda Superb - Exterior 

Talking about the exterior design of the Superb, it gets new body panels to give the car a sleeker look, new sleeker LED Matrix headlights, wide front grille, chrome accents on the bumper. Additionally, the car’s dimensions have also been increased as the car is now 43 mm longer and 12 mm taller with increased boot space in both the variants .

New-Gen Skoda Superb - Interior

The new-gen Superb gets a plethora of new features within its interior like a 13-inch infotainment touch display, a 10-inch digital cluster and a head-up-display. There are new rotary push buttons for HVAC controls, volume controls, drive modes and for several other basic features. A lot of car controls have been mounted on the steering which also include the gear selector that has been removed from the centre console area. Additionally, Skoda has revealed that the interior of the car has incorporated minimal leather and has utilised 100% recycled polyester instead. However, the 100% recycled polyester gets the leather colour that has been achieved through an eco-friendly tanning process using coffee beans.

New-Gen Skoda Superb - Powertrain 

The Skoda Superb is available with multiple powertrain configurations as it will be available with a petrol engine, a diesel engine, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology. The petrol engine has been tuned to deliver two different power outputs - 201 bhp and 261 bhp. Similarly, the diesel engine has been tuned to deliver two different power outputs - 148 bhp and 190 bhp. All these engine and powertrain configurations are paired to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
