BYD Denza Z9GT In India: BYD is the world’s largest EV manufacturer in terms of volume, and it has multiple sub-brands. Denza is one such sub-brand, and it is set to enter the Indian market soon. While the Denza D9 Luxury MPV will be the brand’s first product in India, multiple reports suggest that the Denza Z9GT is also on the cards for the Indian market.

Denza Z9GT: India Launch
The brand patented the design of the Denza Z9GT for the first time in March last year. The brand has not yet confirmed a date for the official launch of the Z9GT, but we expect the fastback to be launched in the country by early 2027. Globally, the Z9GT is available in a PHEV and an all-electric version. In India, we expect the brand to offer an all-electric version of the fastback.

Denza Z9GT: Exterior
The Denza Z9GT is a sleek, aggressive-looking electric fastback. At the front, the Z9GT features a closed grille with sleek LED DRLs positioned below the sharp, elongated triangular LED headlamps. The fastback by Denza uses a clamshell bonnet with large air vents positioned lower on the bumper for enhanced battery cooling and aerodynamics. On the sides, it features frameless windows, 21-inch alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, flush-type door handles, and a striking Z-shaped design line. Coming to the rear, it features wing-shaped LED horizontal taillamps, a subtle roof spoiler, a silver skid plate, and a blacked-out massive rear bumper.

The Denza Z9GT is powered by a triple motor setup, which uses two electric motors at the rear and an electric motor placed at the front. The battery capacity stands at 122.5 kWh, and it has a WLTP range of up to 600 km on a single charge. The fastback supports up to 1500 kW Flash ultra-charging, and the brand claims that it can be charged from 10 to 97 per cent in just 9 minutes.
Performance
The electric motors on the Denza Z9GT can generate peak power and torque output of 1,140 hp and 1,210 Nm, respectively. The Z9GT can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, and it has a top speed of up to 270 km/h.
