Next-Generation Toyota Hilux Interior:  The ninth generation of the Toyota Hilux is all set to be launched today in India. The eighth-generation of the Hilux was introduced to the Indian market in 2022, and it has remained one of the most popular pickup trucks in the country ever since. The ninth-generation model of the Hilux was unveiled globally in November 2025, and its launch has been much-anticipated ever since. Let’s take a look at what can be expected from the soon-to-be-launched next-generation Toyota Hilux 2026.

Next-Generation Toyota Hilux: Design

The Toyota Hilux 2026 is expected to feature a completely new design language. It gets an upright stance with sleek LED DRLs and LED headlights at the front that are connected by a black applique with Toyota badging. The front fascia also comprises a body-coloured grille with a honeycomb pattern, faux trapezoidal air vents, large air vents lower on the bumper, and a prominent silver skid plate. On the sides, it features a black ORVM, Hilux badging, large windows, a running board, black pull-out-type door handles, and thick black body cladding. On the rear, it features a tailgate with large Toyota Badging and a pull-type handle with Hilux written on it. The pickup by Toyota also features C-shaped LED taillights that extend to the sides, a large black rear bumper, and parking sensors.

Next-Generation Toyota Hilux: Features

The Toyota Hilux 2026 is expected to come equipped with some of the most advanced features. The cabin features a dual-tone theme with black and grey interiors. The Hilux 2026 is also expected to feature a new steering wheel with mounted controls, dual 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, a dual-zone climate control system, a wireless charging pad, blindspot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated seats, a radar-based ADAS suite, and more.

Next-Generation Toyota Hilux: Engine

The Toyota Hilux 2026 is expected to come equipped with the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine that can be paired with the choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine also comes paired with a 4x4 configuration, and it can generate a peak power and torque output of 204 hp and 500 Nm, respectively. Notably, the brand offers its popular pickup truck with the option of a hybrid powertrain, but it is highly unlikely that the same will be offered in the Indian market.
