Nissan MPV 7 Seater: Nissan plans to launch its seven-seat B-segment MPV in India in early 2026. The upcoming Nissan MPV will be a rebadged version of the Renault Triber, but will boast substantial styling changes at the front end. Evidenced by the first-ever spy shots, the test mule of the Nissan MPV features a distinctive hexagonal grille with a Nissan logo, as well as a revised bumper with larger air dams. However, the lighting elements seem to be borrowed from the Triber. Other visible elements include C-shaped LED DRLs, fog lamps, a traditional antenna, and steel wheels. The test model also features functional roof rails, although hidden under wraps.

The rear fascia of the vehicle is not visible, but we anticipate the Nissan MPV will get a different bumper design compared to the Triber. Like the headlamps, the taillamps are likely to have unique internals as well, although their design will mirror the Triber's.

Nissan Compact MPV Interior and Features

The equipment list of the upcoming MPV is likely to be shared with the Triber, so expect the Nissan MPV to offer removable third-row seats, reclining second and third-row seats, a touchscreen infotainment system (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), a digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, and wireless charging. Having said that, Nissan could offer new upholstery and trim options to make its MPV stand out.

Nissan Compact MPV Engine

Under the hood, the Nissan B-MPV is expected to be equipped with the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Triber, mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. A turbocharged petrol unit could be made available at a later date.

Nissan Compact MPV Rival

The Nissan compact MPV will be squarely aimed at the Renault Triber in terms of market competition. The launch of the compact MPV is expected to be followed by the Nissan Tekton compact SUV in mid-2026. Both the MPV and the SUV are likely to roll out of the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai.
