Ola Cabs Banned In Chandigarh: The Reason

As mentioned earlier, the state transport authorities have suspended the license of Ola Cabs for 6 months in Chandigarh. As per reports, the aggregator license has been suspended for multiple violations of the Chandigarh Administration Motor Vehicles Aggregator Rules 2025. The state administration has cited repeated violations of regulatory norms and failure to comply with directions as the reason behind suspending the aggregator license of Ola Cabs.

Chandigarh Ola License Suspended: What It Means for Commuters?

The Chandigarh state transport authorities have directed vehicle owners associated with Ola not to accept or operate ride bookings through the platform. The commuters have been directed not to book rides through the Ola app. The authorities have also warned that if any vehicle is found violating the order, it would be impounded and a challan would also be issued. As per reports, the move is expected to directly affect around 50,000 tricity commuters on a daily basis.
