The Tata Punch is one of the most affordable SUVs in the country, and it is also the most affordable CNG SUV in the country. The Tata Punch CNG is priced between Rs 6.75 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 10.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The Punch comes equipped with the brand’s iCNG technology, which incorporates two tanks with a total 60-litre capacity. The Punch CNG is available in a total of 11 trims. The SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre engine that can generate a peak power and torque output of 74 hp and 103 Nm, respectively. It has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 26.99 km/kg.

Hyundai Exter
The Hyundai Exter is the second most affordable CNG SUV in the country. It is available in a total of 5 variants, priced between Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The Exter also comes with a dual cylinder technology with a 60-litre capacity. The Exter is powered by a 4-cylinder 1.2-litre engine that can generate 69 hp and 95.2 Nm of torque. The Hyundai Exter has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 27.1 km/kg.

Maruti Fronx/Toyota Taisor
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx and the Toyota Taisor are in third position in this list. The Fronx and Taisor share the same 1.2-litre engine that can generate a peak power output of 77.5 hp. Both of these SUVs have an ARAI-claimed mileage of 28.51 km/kg, and while the Fronx is available in a total of 2 variants, the Taisor is available with a single E variant, which is the base-spec trim of the SUV. The Fronx is priced between Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Taisor is priced at Rs 8.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

The engine can generate a peak power and torque output of 100 hp and 170 Nm, respectively. The Nexon has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 24 km/kg. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the 5th most affordable CNG SUV in the country. The Brezza CNG is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, which is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and can generate a peak power of 88 hp. The SUV features a 55-litre CNG tank, and it has a claimed ARAI-mileage of 25.51 km/kg. The Brezza CNG is available in a total of 3 trims.
