Bajaj Auto, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer in the country has been witnessing strong sales and increased market share. Therefore, Bajaj is gearing up to introduce new products, expand its network, and incorporate innovative technologies. Bajaj has lined up multiple upcoming launches, some of which include a new variant of Chetak, the Pulsar NS400, and a bike powered by compressed natural gas (CNG).

Bajaj Auto has been paying significant attention towards the 125cc-plus segment in the motorcycle market to enhance its market share and profit margins. Commenting on this, Bajaj Auto, Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma said, “In the domestic motorcycle market, we grew at twice the rate of the industry in the October-December quarter, but our focus is on the top half of the industry – the 125cc plus segment – where we grew three times the rate of the industry. As a result, our market share went close to 31 percent.” 

Additionally, Sharma mentioned that Bajaj Auto aims to boost Chetak's monthly sales to 15,000 units by March and intends to introduce a new model to the Chetak lineup in the first quarter of the upcoming financial year. The company's management stated, "Every month, you will witness two or three updates until May. Additionally, we are looking forward to unveiling a larger Pulsar in the first quarter of the next year." As previously reported, Bajaj Auto is planning to launch the CNG motorcycle in 2024-2025 and the official launch is expected in the next financial year.

Presently, Bajaj Auto sells approximately 10,000 electric scooters, a significant increase from the 3,000-4,000 units at the start of the financial year. Moreover, the management highlighted the positive responses received for the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X in both domestic and export markets. To meet the growing demand, the company plans to enhance the production capacity of these models to 30,000 units per month by the first half of the upcoming financial year, up from the current 10,000 units per month.
