Rajinikanth’s latest released blockbuster ‘Jailer’ is breaking records as it has already collected over Rs 600 crore globally. Kalanithi Maran, Founder and Chairman of Sun Pictures, while celebrating the success of the film gifted Rajinikanth a BMW X7 along with a share of profits from the film worth Rs 100 crore. The Tamil actor was given a choice between the BMW i7 and the BMW X7, and he went ahead with the latter.
BMW X7 is a 6-seater SUV priced at Rs 1.25 Crore (ex-showroom). It is available in 4 colours - Carbon Black Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Dravit Grey Metallic, and BMW Exclusive Tanzanite Blue Metallic. It is available in two variants in India - xDrive40i M Sport and the top variant xDrive40d M Sport.
BMW X7 - Details, Specifications and Features
BMW X7 has two engines on offer; one petrol and one diesel boasting a displacement of 2998cc and 2993cc respectively. Both the engines are offered with a mild hybrid system as the car comes equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The engine has a max power output of 335 bhp and 700 Nm of torque.
Inside the cabin, it has BMW’s twin-screen curved display that has been borrowed from its range of new electric cars. It has a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 14.9-inch central infotainment screen, with ID8—BMW's latest operating system—running on the latter.

BMW claims that the X7 has a top speed of 249 km/h and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds. In terms of fuel efficiency, it gives a mileage of 14 kmpl. The X7 measures at 5,181 mm in length, and 2,000 mm in width, and has a 3,105 mm wheelbase while getting a 221 mm ground clearance.
