River Indie Gen 3 Launch: River Mobility has unveiled the latest version of the Indie electric scooter, the Indie Gen 3, in India. Available at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the Indie Gen 3 is Rs 2,000 costlier than the Indie. Alongside the product unveil, the brand also inaugurated its first Delhi store in Rajouri Garden. Spanning 6,300 sq. ft., the first flagship store in Delhi will be a strategic hub for the brand in the North Indian market, facilitating its expansion into other key regions. The Indie Gen 3 is now available for bookings and test rides at River's Delhi store or on the official website.

River Indie Gen 3: What's Changed?

Over the Indie, the Indie Gen 3 gets improved riding ergonomics with upgraded tyres for better grip. There is also a redesigned instrument console with an enhanced app interface, allowing riders to access features such as ride statistics, hill-hold assist, customisable data points, and real-time charging status.

River Indie Gen 3: Battery, Range

Having said that, the Indie Gen 3 continues to feature a 4kWh LFP battery, delivering a claimed range of 163km on a single charge. The battery is paired with a 6.7kW electric motor, enabling the scooter to hit 90km/h. 0 to 80 per cent can be charged in about 5 hours, according to River.

The scooter continues to boast a huge 43 litres of underseat storage that has long been its USP, along with 12 litres of glove box space. It is available in five colour options with contrasting black accents.

River has positioned the new Indie Gen 3 as a versatile urban mobility solution. It features a modular design that can be retrofitted with a range of accessories, thereby enhancing its cargo-carrying capacity. The scooter gets 43-litre underseat storage space and a 12-litre glove box area. The scooter comes in 5 colour options.

River Expansion Plans

With the inauguration of its Delhi store, River has 34 outlets across India, including in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Coimbatore, Patna, and Hubli. This figure is expected to rise to 80 by March 2026, with planned showrooms in Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
