Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 vs KTM 390 Adventure: Royal Enfield officially launched the Himalayan 450 in India at the RE Motoverse 2023 on Friday. Royal Enfield already revealed the new Himalayan at EICMA 2023 and have now announced the prices of the adventure-tourer. Once it is visible on the Indian roads, it will go head-to-head with other 400 cc bikes like the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, KTM 390 Adventure, and BMW G 310 GS. Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

Price - The new Himalayan 450 comes in three variants - Base, Pass, and Summit. Introductory prices for all these variants are Rs 2.69 lakh for Base, Rs 2.74 lakh for Pass and Rs 2.84 lakh for Summit (ex-showroom).

Engine Specs - The new Himalayan 450 sources its power from RE’s new Sherpa 450 engine. Sherpa 450 is a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. It has been paired with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch for better control.

Features - Notable features on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 include a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, three riding modes - Eco, Performance (with rear ABS on) and Performance (with rear ABS off) and LED lights for all lighting units.

KTM 390 Adventure 

Price - The KTM 390 Adventure is available in two variants - Alloy Wheels and Spoke Wheels. Both these variants have been priced at Rs 3.39 lakh and Rs 3.61 lakh respectively. 

Engine Specs - The KTM 390 Adventure is powered by a 373.27 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to produce 42.9 bhp and 37 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox unit with a slip-and-assist clutch. 

Features - Notable features on the KTM 390 Adventure include a sensitive traction control, two driving modes - Street and Offroad, all-LED lighting system, upright ergonomics with a windshield that’s adjustable, colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and a charging port.
