Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 vs Triumph Scrambler 400 X: Royal Enfield has finally launched the new Himalayan 450 for the Indian market on Friday at the ongoing Motoverse 2023. Previously, the new Himalayan 450 was unveiled at the EICMA 2023 and the brand revealed significant details of the new bike. RE has now officially launched the Himalayan 450 by revealing the prices of all its variants. The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is poised to compete with other 400 cc bikes in the segment once it hits the Indian roads. It will compete with other models like the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS. Let's take a look at a brief comparison between the new Himalayan 450 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

Price - The new Himalayan 450 is available in three variants - Base, Pass and Summit. All these variants have been launched at introductory prices of Rs 2.69 lakh, Rs 2.74 lakh and Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.  

Engine Specs - Powering the new Himalayan 450 is Royal Enfield's newly developed Sherpa 450 engine. This is a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. It has been paired with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch for better control.

Features - Notable features on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 include a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, three riding modes - Eco, Performance (with rear ABS on) and Performance (with rear ABS off) and LED lights for all lighting units.

Triumph Scrambler 400 X

Price - The Scrambler 400 X is available in a single variant that has been priced at Rs 2.62 lakh (ex-showroom).  

Engine Specs - The Triumph Scrambler is powered by a 398.15cc BS6 engine that is tuned to generate a power output of 40 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox unit. 

Features - Notable features on the Scrambler 400X include a ride-by-wire, switchable traction control system, C-type charging port, LED lights throughout and a digital-analogue instrument cluster. This cluster shows motorcycle related information like fuel, gear indicator and two odometers.
