Royal Enfield, the renowned motorcycle brand in India has launched another offering, the Shotgun 650. Royal Enfield showcased the Shotgun 650 for the first time at the EICMA 2021 as the SG650 concept and was then unveiled during the Himalayan 450 launch in India. Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Design
The Shotgun 650 is based on the Super Meteor 650 and therefore shares a lot of its components with its 650 cc counterpart. Both motorcycles share common features such as the headlight, taillight, and indicators. Additionally, they come with identical instrumentation, switchgear cubes, as well as adjustable brake and clutch levers.However, the design of the new motorcycle is distinctive, from the large fuel tank to the side panel and rear fender. It features an aluminium cowl over the headlamp, adding a modern touch to its appearance.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Engine Specs
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 derives its power from a 648 cc air-oil cooled parallel-twin engine, which is also shared with other 650 cc motorcycles in the brand's lineup.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Performance
This engine is coupled with a six-speed gearbox and is capable of producing a peak power of 46 bhp and a maximum torque of 52 Nm. The motorcycle is expected to deliver a mileage of approximately 22 kmpl.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Hardware
Talking about the hardware, it sits on an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. In terms of suspension, the front fork length has been reduced while maintaining the same suspension travel. The twin shock units are now longer but offer nearly the same travel as the Super Meteor 650. However, the braking hardware remains unchanged in the all-new Shotgun 650.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Price
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has been launched with a price tag of Rs 3.59 lakh (ex- showroom). It is expected that deliveries for the Shotgun 650 are slated to begin in March 2024.
