Skoda Superb Relaunched In India: Czech automaker Skoda Auto has relaunched the Skoda Superb sedan in India. Skoda India has launched the premium sedan at a price of Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Superb is making a comeback to the Indian market after a one-year hiatus, following the manufacturer's decision to withdraw it due to stricter BS6 phase 2 emission regulations. Skoda has launched the Superb as a completely built unit (CBU). Only 100 units of the sedan will be sold, with deliveries set to commence later this month.

Skoda Superb - Colours 

The Skoda Superb is available with a choice of three exterior colours. These include the new Rosso Brunello and Water World Green shades. The third option is the familiar Magic Black, which was available with the sedan before it was discontinued in the country.  

Skoda Superb - Features

The new Skoda Superb boasts an updated feature list as it now gets an enlarged 10.2-inch digital driver display and a 9.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, it offers features such as wireless charging and tri-zone climate control. The front seats can be electronically adjusted in 12 different ways, with the driver's seat also featuring massage and memory functions. In terms of safety, the premium sedan gets nine airbags, fatigue or drowsiness detection for drivers, 360 degree camera, Active Chassis Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Park Assist with Emergency Braking Assist. Skoda Superb has received a 5-star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash tests.

Skoda Superb - Engine

Skoda has brought back the Superb in a single top-spec Laurin & Klement trim. It is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine designed to meet India's current emission standards. This engine is capable of delivering a power output of 187 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, while being paired with a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
