Czech carmaker Skoda is all set to launch the new-generation Kodiaq and Superb later this year. Now, ahead of the official launch, Skoda has released the interior images of both the upcoming cars. The all-new Kodiaq and Superb will feature brand-new interiors that will include huge touchscreens, a repositioned gear selector and ‘smart’ rotary controls.
What will change?
An independent 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster will be included with both Kodiaq and Superb. The most notable change is that the manufacturer has moved the automated gear selector from the centre console to the area behind the steering wheel, thus allowing more storage in the centre console.

Skoda Smart Dials
The 'Skoda Smart Dials' will be visible for the first time in the new Kodiaq and Superb. These are rotary push buttons with tiny digital displays that are situated below the infotainment screen. These dials provide easy access to several features of the car. The seat adjustments and climate control are controlled by the two outside dials. Fan speed, air direction, infotainment volume and other features are all controlled by the central dial.
Simply Clever Features
Skoda's 'Simply Clever' features have been reintroduced in the next generation of vehicles. These include optional seat massage functionality, a door-mounted umbrella, rapid wireless charging, active cooling for two devices in the Kodiaq (one in the Superb), and even an ice scraper. Up to four USB-C ports as well as a USB-C port integrated into the interior rearview mirror are also available.
The brand has taken a sustainable step and crafted the interior fabric from recycled polyester. The optional leather upholstery is also achieved through an environment-friendly tanning procedure.
Both variants will come equipped with features including wireless phone charging, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, ambient lighting, a branded music system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology. Multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and other safety measures will all be present to ensure safety.
