Meizu Dream Car MX
According to a Chinese report, customers who purchase the Meizu 21 smartphone will have the opportunity to use its cost as a deduction from the car's price which essentially means receiving the phone for free when buying the car. Customers can personalise the car's body paint, interior colour coordination and Flyme Auto themes, which enables Meizu to claim that the Dream Car MX is "world's first mass-produced car customised with deep user participation."
This official confirmation by Meizu comes after the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has recently acquired Geely, a renowned Chinese automotive giant with a prominent presence in the EV sector. This partnership with Geely indicates that Meizu's foray into electric vehicles is supported by substantial industry knowledge and technological progress. According to the announcement, the car will be built on SEA architecture and use Geely's Industry 4.0 manufacturing capabilities. Meizu has stated that it will introduce the Dream Car co-creation plan in the first quarter of 2024.

Meizu's aim to build an integrated tech ecosystem goes beyond electric vehicles. Essentially, it was Flyme Auto that served as Meizu's entry point into the automotive industry, owing to its collaboration with Geely. According to the report, during Meizu Autumn Unbounded Ecological Conference, Meizu revealed the introduction of the "Unbounded Intelligent Mobility Open Platform." This platform aims to share Flyme Auto's fundamental capabilities with other vehicles, specifically designed for in-car entertainment and connectivity. Flyme Auto makes it easy for you to synchronise your phone with the car’s tech, conveniently allowing users to switch between their smartphones and the car's dashboard. The software boasts distinctive features, such as the capability to project the phone's screen onto the car's interface, enhancing the overall user experience.
