Suzuki Motor Corporation has revealed the Suzuki e-Burgman which is set to debut globally at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. This electric scooter is positioned as a pure electric counterpart to Suzuki’s 125 cc petrol-powered scooter. One notable feature that sets it apart is its battery swapping technology which is a significant development in the EV space. Suzuki's strategic vision for the e-Burgman extends beyond just launching a new product. Suzuki aims to drive the development of future electric motorcycles, hinting at a more electrifying future for the brand.

Suzuki e-Burgman
In terms of design, the e-Burgman closely resembles its ICE counterpart while distinguishing itself with subtle blue highlights across the body. There is no exhaust pipe present which evidently indicates that it is an electric scooter.
India Launch
Suzuki has not officially confirmed if the e-Burgman will be launched in India, however, it's worth noting that India's electric scooter market is rapidly expanding as automobile manufacturers aim at introducing more and more EVs in their vehicle line-up.
Hydrogen Fueled Burgman
Suzuki has also unveiled another scooter at the event, further demonstrating its EV expansion. Suzuki has unveiled a hydrogen-fueled Burgman scooter though specific details about this haven’t been revealed. Suzuki's initiative to produce hydrogen engines is part of its approach to achieve carbon neutrality. The prototype uses a Burgman 400 ABS chassis equipped with a hydrogen tank and engine. In the evolving landscape of electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles, Suzuki's innovative scooters could bring in new possibilities in the two-wheeler industry.
