Japanese automobile giant, Suzuki has shared teasers of the next-gen Swift before the Tokyo Motor Show slated to take place from October 26 to November 5. The released teaser image showcases design changes and interior updates about the new-gen Swift. After the official launch of the 2024 new-gen Swift at the Tokyo Motor Show, it is expected that the new-gen Swift will be launched in India next year. 

New-Gen Swift - Design

In terms of exterior design, the new-gen Swift will resemble its predecessor with some significant changes like a new front bumper, new grille with black surrounds, revamped smoked LED headlamps with DRLs, new fog lamp housing, logo inynew dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs, revised tailgate, redesigned bumper with a skid plate, integrated rear spoiler, LED tail lights and C-shaped DRLs with reflectors below.

New-Gen Swift - Interior 

In terms of interior design, the new-gen Swift will feature a new dashboard design that draws inspiration from the Baleno and Brezza. Other notable features include a new floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, slimmer AC vents and HVAC controls.  

New-Gen Swift - Engine 

Suzuki hasn’t revealed any information regarding powertrain updates in the new-gen Swift and it's likely that in India, the new-gen Swift will continue to retain the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine that generates 90 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automatic transmission. The current-gen India specific Swift is also available with a CNG kit.

New-Gen Swift - Safety Features 

Talking about the safety features, the new-gen Swift will come equipped with Dual Sensor Brake Support, Collision-Mitigation Braking, an Adaptive High Beam System and a Driver Monitoring System.
