TATA Motors, a popular international automaker after introducing the iCNG to Indian potential consumers has now announced the pre-bookings for the Altroz iCNG car starting today. Expanding its CNG portfolio, the company aims to increase the acceptance of CNG cars in India, similar to petrol and diesel cars.

Tata Altroz iCNG 2023: What’s New

The Altroz iCNG, India's first twin-cylinder CNG technology, was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 in January 2023 and received a fantastic response from customers. This revolutionary technology gave CNG owners access to practical, usable boot space, a feature that isn't available in any current CNG vehicles. Interestingly, this is the first time Tata is offering Altroz with a CNG powertrain.

Apart from the Altroz iCNG’s twin-cylinder technology, the car would get the following new add-ons:

1. Single Advanced ECU: The company has ensured that it would now offer jerk free drive experience while shifting from petrol to CNG mode or vice versa

2. CNG Start: Tata, which debuted iCNG technology with the Tiago, has since carried on the tradition with the Altroz iCNG. With this, the car would directly start on CNG mode without any tension of switching the fuel options.

3. Safety Features: The company has offered features like thermal incident protection, gas leak detection feature, and micro switch to ensure the car is switched off at the time of refuelling.

4. Warranty: The vehicle also comes with a three-year/ 100,000-kilometre warranty, whichever comes first.

5. Along with aspirational features, the Altroz iCNG will also include cruise control, automatic headlights, leatherette seats, and iRA-connected car technology.

Tata Altroz iCNG 2023 Variants:

The car would be available in four variants, including XE, XM+, XZ, and XZ+ as well as the four colour choices, including Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey, and Avenue White.

Tata Altroz iCNG 2023 Booking Amount:

Customers can now reserve an Altroz iCNG for Rs 21,000 in advance. With deliveries starting in May 2023, Tata Motor's successful multi-powertrain strategy is well demonstrated by the Altroz iCNG, which is currently the range's fourth powertrain option.
