Tata Harrier And Safari Mileage Revealed: Both SUVs To Give Competition To Low-Budget Cars In Fuel Efficiency

Tata Motors recently revealed the facelift of its two popular SUVs, Tata Harrier and Tata Safari which are scheduled to be launched in the next few weeks of October. Bookings for both these SUVs are now open by paying an amount of Rs 25,000. Both of these SUVs get notable changes in their exterior and interior designs, along with the new technological features.

Tata Harrier and Tata Safari - Mileage 

Along with revealing the exterior and interior design and variants of both the SUVs, Tata has now revealed the claimed fuel efficiency information of the Harrier and the Safari. Tata Harrier will offer a claimed mileage of 16.80 km/l for the manual variant and 14.60 km/l for the automatic variant. Similarly, Tata Safari will deliver a fuel efficiency of 16.30 km/l for the manual variant and 14.50 km/l for the automatic variant. 

Tata Harrier and Tata Safari - Engine

Tata repeated what it did last time and put the same engine in both Harrier and Safari. The new Harrier and Safari are equipped with a powerful 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Kryotec diesel engine, which is in compliance with the latest BS6 norms. The engine generates a power output of 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.  The four-cylinder engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission sending the power to the front wheels of both SUVs. While some reports suggest that Tata will offer a petrol engine for both Harrier and Safari, a report by Express Drive stated that there will be no petrol engine on offer, at least at the time of its launch.
