The brand’s highest-ever monthly sales were led by the Tata Nexon SUV, which also emerged as the best-selling car in India in January 2026. Top 5 Bestselling Cars In India: January 2026
As the table shows, the Tata Nexon secured the top position with sales of a total of 23,365 units in January 2026. The Tata Punch has secured the second position with a total of 19,257 units, followed by the Hyundai Creta with sales of a total of 17,921 units. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured fourth position with sales of a total of 17,486 units, and the Mahindra Scorpio has emerged as the fifth best-selling car with sales of a total of 15,542 units.

Tata Nexon Becomes Bestselling Car
A total of 15,397 units of the Tata Nexon were sold in January 2025, and the SUV registered sales of a total of 23,365 units in January 2026. The SUV recorded a 51.75 per cent year-on-year growth in the previous month. Notably, this is the highest-ever monthly sales recorded by the SUV. Additionally, the cumulative sales of the SUV also crossed the 10 lakh milestone in the previous year.
