Yamaha EC-06 Electric Scooter: Yamaha, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, launches its first electric scooter, the Yamaha EC-06, in India today. The brand has launched its first-ever electric scooter at Rs 1,67,600 (ex-showroom), and it boasts a certified range of 169 kilometres, once fully charged. Yamaha EC-06 Electric Scooter: Design
The Yamaha EC-06 electric scooter gets a very modern and edgy design. At the front, it gets a vertically-stacked rectangular LED DRL with a single LED projector-based headlamp placed on the apron. It gets a single-piece seat, which is finished in a grey and black combination. At the rear, it gets LED taillights, and the turn-signals on the scooters are also all LED units.

Yamaha EC-06 Electric Scooter: Features
The Yamaha EC-06 electric scooter also comes equipped with a colour LCD, which provides real-time information on speed, battery status, riding modes, and connectivity features. The EC-06 by Yamaha also features three riding modes, namely Eco, Standard, and Power. It also comes equipped with 200mm front and rear disc brakes and a Combi Brake System (CBS) and reverse assist. The new EC-06 features the “Yamaha Motor Connect R” app, which enables real-time data access, and it also has an impressive 24.5 litres of under-seat storage.

Yamaha EC-06 Electric Scooter: Powertrain
As per media reports, the Yamaha EC-06 electric scooter has been co-developed with the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer River, and it shares some similarities with the brand’s Indie electric scooter. Just like the River Indie, the Yamaha EC-06 also draws its power from a 4 kWh battery pack, which is paired with an electric motor that generates 6.7 kW of power and 26 Nm of torque. The Yamaha EC-06 has a top speed of 79 km/h.
