Tata Cars Price Cut: Tata Motors has announced plans to implement a price drop across its entire ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) lineup, effective September 22, the day the revised GST rates will kick in. The decision comes after the government cleared the passage of the next generation of reforms, thereby paving the way for a two-slab structure of 5 and 18 per cent.

With this, Tata's range of cars and SUVs, including the Nexon, Tiago, Harrier, and Curvv, is likely to see a price reduction of up to Rs 1.55 lakh, making them 'even more accessible across segments'. For context, Tata currently sells the petrol-powered Nexon at a starting price of Rs 8 lakh, while the diesel version starts at Rs 10 lakh. The Tiago ranges from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 8.55 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Here's a table listing the potential price reductions on Tata cars and SUVs:

Given the strong demand during the festive season, Tata has urged customers to book their preferred vehicle early for delivery during the festive period. 'The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles, effective 22nd September 2025, is a progressive and timely decision that will make personal mobility more accessible for millions across India,' said Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors.
