Tata has opened bookings for the upcoming Tata Nexon.ev facelift from today. The new Nexon.ev facelift was revealed yesterday and is scheduled to launch on September 14 along with its ICE counterpart. On Tata’s official website, the EV can be booked with a token amount of Rs 21,000 or through Tata Motors dealers across India. 

Distinctive features of the new Tata Nexon.ev

  • - Notable design changes in the new Nexon.ev include a closed-off grille, connected LED DRLs at the front and a full-width LED light bar running across the front, which also serves as a charging status indicator. 

  • - Interior features a 2-spoke steering wheel, a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, HVAC controls with toggle switches, a 360-degree camera, SOS call button, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, air purifier, Type-C ports, sunroof and JBL audio system. 

    • - Comes with two battery pack options; Medium Range (30kWh - 325 km range) and Long Range (40.5kWh - 465 km range).

    • - The Nexon EV comes with a new Gen-2 PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) -  the LR variant boasts a 144bhp motor, while the MR variant features a 129bhp motor.

    - It comes with a 7.2kW AC charger as standard that takes between 4-6 hours to charge from 10 per cent to 100 per cent. It can also be charged using a DC charger that charges the vehicle to full in 56 minutes. 

    Variants, Colour Scheme and Trims available in the new Tata Nexon.ev

    The Tata Nexon.ev will be available in seven colour options: Empowered Oxide, Fearless Purple, Creative Ocean, Daytona Grey, Flame Red, Pristine White and Intensi Teal.  

    There will be three broad variants available of the Nexon.ev; Creative, Fearless and Empowered, with two trims Medium Range and Long Range.

    The prices for both the Nexon.ev and the ICE Nexon will be revealed on September 14 at its official launch. However, it is being expected that the Nexon.ev will be available within a price range of Rs 15 - Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom).
