Tata Power has officially announced that it is starting its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure along the Chandigarh - Shimla highway. The Chandigarh - Shimla highway is a well-travelled route in Northern India covering a stretch of 111 km. This move aims to meet the growing demand for genuine charging facilities on this route. The EZ Charge stations have been strategically placed at Hotel Falcon Crest on the Chandigarh to Shimla Highway near Kandaghat and The Oberoi Cecil, Chaura Maidan Road near Shimla, relieving concerns for EV travellers on this route.
Tata Power's EZ Charge network covers 420 cities in India and has a widespread EV charging network along major national and state highways including locations such as hotels, commercial complexes, car dealerships and more. There are approximately 4,900 strategically placed public and semi-public charging points. Additionally, there are 460 bus-charging stations. These EV charging stations cover over 25 states and five union territories.
EV users can easily find these two new EV charging stations using the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app. Both these charging stations connect two significant cities of Chandigarh and Shimla. One charging station is situated 83 km from Chandigarh at Hotel Falcon Crest and the second one is 26 km away from The Oberoi Cecil.
