Tata Punch EV, Nexon EV Receive 5-Star Safety Rating In Bharat NCAP; Details

Tata Punch EV, Nexon EV: In the latest safety ratings by Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP), Tata Motors' popular EV models, the Punch EV and Nexon EV, have both achieved an impressive 5-star safety rating. Previously, Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs also received 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP.

These ratings mark the first safety assessments for Tata's electric SUVs, which had not previously undergone testing by the Global NCAP. Additionally, this five-star rating applies to all variants of both EVs, owing to their comprehensive standard safety features, including electronic stability control and six airbags.

Tata Punch EV - 5-Star Safety Rating In Bharat NCAP 

The Tata Punch EV made a significant impact in the Bharat NCAP tests, achieving the highest score for both adult and child occupant protection among all vehicles tested. The Punch EV Long Range Empowered Plus (S) variant, scored 31.46 out of a total 32 points for adult occupant protection. In terms of child occupant protection, the Tata Punch EV scored 45 points out of a total 49. 

Tata Nexon EV - 5-Star Safety Rating In Bharat NCAP

The Tata Nexon EV performed commendably in the Bharat NCAP tests, in both adult and child occupant protection. The top-spec Nexon EV Empowered Long Range variant scored 29.86 points out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 44.95 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.

Punch EV & Nexon EV - Price 

Tata Punch EV is available in India with its prices ranging between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Tata Nexon EV is available with its prices starting from Rs 14.49 lakh that go up to Rs 19.49 lakh for the top-spec model.
