Tata Motors in June announced the electric version of its new micro-SUV, Punch. Tata had launched the Tata Punch earlier this year and the car became an instant hit among the customers. It is expected that the Tata Punch EV will hit the roads in November or December this year, however, no official date has been announced by the automaker. Now, ahead of the launch, Tata Punch EV was spotted during testing and car enthusiasts have spotted a slew of changes in the upcoming electric car. A charging port mounted on the front bumper of the car was spotted while a slew of changes in the interiors have also been spotted in the car.

Tata Punch EV: Expected Design
As seen in the spy photos, the Punch EV's look and design are identical to that of the CNG or ICE variants. In terms of the exterior, the car has a charging port up front and is probably going to have a redesigned grill and unique alloy wheels. Apart from these, the headlamp configuration, LED DRLs, fog lamps, rear tail lamps, thick side cladding and back bumper will remain unchanged.

Tata Punch EV: Cabin Details
The cabin of the forthcoming Punch EV is likely to have an improved 2-spoke steering wheel that was previously seen in the Curvv concept. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring integration with car connect technology is anticipated.
Tata Punch EV: Powertrain Expectations
It is likely that the new Punch EV will be built on the Alfa platform and will likely use Tata's advanced Ziptron technology, including a liquid-cooled battery pack and a permanent magnet synchronous motor driving the front wheels. There is a possibility that Tata Motors may offer the Punch EV with a range of battery sizes, just like the Tigor, Tiago, and Nexon EVs.
Tata Punch EV: Expected Price
Tata Punch EV is probably going to debut around the upcoming festive season. It might be priced between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
