Tata Safari EV - Design
A test mule of the Safari EV has recently been spotted testing in the Indian roads which has sparked speculation about Tata Motors working on an electric version of the Safari. Notably, the absence of an exhaust pipe in the images suggests that the vehicle could indeed be an electric variant. This development isn't entirely surprising, given that a similar sighting occurred last year of the Harrier EV in Pune. Once the Safari EV is launched, it will share similarities with the standard Safari in terms of design language, while featuring EV-specific design styling elements. These include a closed-off grille and aero caps for the wheels, aimed at optimising the car's aerodynamics for improved efficiency.
Tata Safari EV - Range
It is expected that the Safari EV will be built on Tata Motors' active.ev platform and is expected to offer a driving range of approximately 400 km to 500 km, owing to its larger size. The active.ev platform supports battery packs with ranges ranging from 300 km to 600 km, ensuring sufficient range for daily commutes and longer journeys.
