Tata Sierra 2025: The all-new Tata Sierra, India's first indigenously developed SUV, will mark the revival of one of the most iconic SUVs in the country's automotive history. Although the front fascia and side profile of the production-spec model were revealed some time ago, the video shared on social media provides fresh exterior and interior details of the SUV being filmed for a TV commercial. Let's take a look at them:

Tata Sierra 2025: Exterior Design

The new Tata Sierra combines heritage with innovation. Drawing inspiration from the original (OG) 1991 Sierra SUV, the all-new version features the signature curved rear windows (for that, Tata has given the vehicle a black roof insert), a high-set bonnet, and squared-off wheel arches, while maintaining its boxy silhouette, upright stance, and dual-tone finish. What sets the 2025 Sierra apart from the OG vehicle is a split headlamp setup, connected light signatures, shorter overhangs, flush door handles, and new diamond-cut alloy wheels. The new SUV also sports a sharper roofline compared to the older version. Another distinguishing element is the vehicle's 5-door layout versus the OG's 3-door layout.

Tata Sierra 2025: Interior

The TV commercial shows a dual-tone theme, a three-screen setup (a central touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and a passenger's display), a 4-spoke steering wheel (with a Tata logo), and touch-sensitive controls, all of which have already been confirmed through teasers. The central console closely resembles that of the latest Harrier SUV, featuring an electronic parking brake, a gear shifter, and a wireless charging pad.

In terms of features, the upcoming SUV is confirmed to come with a panoramic sunroof, rear sunshades, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming IRVM, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS suite. Expected bits include ventilated seats, a Harman sound system, 6 airbags, and wireless connectivity.

Tata Sierra: Powertrain

The Tata Sierra ICE is likely to offer a 168bhp, turbocharged petrol engine and a 116bhp, 1.5-litre diesel mill. Both manual and automatic gearbox options are expected to be present. The EV version is likely to join the Sierra lineup at a later stage.

Tata Sierra: Price, Rivals

The Sierra ICE will rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, and the upcoming Renault Duster. Prices are expected to be in the range of Rs 15 lakh–Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sierra EV is likely to follow at a later date.
