Toyota on Wednesday teased the upcoming Century SUV ahead of its scheduled launch on September 6. The new, ultra-luxury SUV will be positioned next to the iconic Century sedan by Toyota. In contrast to its sedan predecessor, which only serves the Japanese market, the Century SUV will be made available globally.
Toyota had earlier revealed the development of the Century SUV, at the official debut of the new Vellfire MPV, which is now available in the Indian markets. However, the India launch of the Century SUV is not confirmed yet.

Toyota Century SUV - Components
Currently, the sedan Century comes with a V12 petrol engine, but it will not be the same for the Century SUV, which will likely get the petrol-hybrid powertrain as the Grand Highlander SUV. A 2.4-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine connected with an electric motor producing a total of 362 bhp, and a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with two electric motors to provide a combined 243 bhp is likely to power the Century SUV. The Century SUV measures about 5.2 metres in length and may be available with a three-row seating option.
Toyota Century SUV - Competitors
The Toyota Grand Highlander SUV and the Century SUV have the same monocoque chassis, making it more appropriate for driving around the city. Moreover, this car will be more preferred by chauffeur-driven buyers. Therefore, it is predicted it will be compared to Range Rover and Bentley Bentayga due to features like noise cancellation and premium interiors. It's likely that the Toyota Century SUV will be up against the likes of Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
