Toyota has unveiled the Rumion, its newest MPV, in India. The Rumion is simply a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga that will be sold under the Toyota name as part of a global deal between Toyota and Maruti to launch badge-engineered products. Toyota offers both petrol and CNG engines for the Rumion. The 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine generates 103 hp and 137 Nm when operating on petrol, but just 88 hp and 121.5 Nm when on CNG. Both a 6-speed torque converter and a 5-speed manual transmission are available for this Toyota MPV. The Rumion will be available in three trim levels: S, G, and V. All three will come with manual transmission, while the base G and highest-spec V trims will also be available with an automatic.
